Spring is (somewhat) in the air here in the Midwest. We’ve had a few gorgeous days and a few not-so-gorgeous days full of rain, but it is definitely spring. Normally, many of us would be breaking out the sundresses and sandals but given that most states are still under shelter-in-place orders, there’s not much reason to dress up. (Although I will continue to say that dressing up while working from home has helped me be more productive!).
While we might be missing a good deal of spring this year, I wanted to put together some spring staples that are great for transitioning into summer (with the hope that we’re able to safely leave our houses this summer!). Here in Missouri, we tend to go very suddenly from in-between weather to full on summer heat, so it’s especially nice to have accessories that are appropriate for the end of spring and 85° days. Below, I rounded up three of my spring staples that work great into summer.
You literally cannot go wrong with a pair of neutral sandals. They go with everything (the right pair can be worn to work, the beach, or to brunch!). A good pair will carry you through the end of spring through summer.
I can't get enough of these accessories made from more natural materials this season. Bamboo, straw and raffia accessories are typically more lightweight than other materials and go with everything. These purses are sturdy enough to hold everything you might need while being a great summery bag. And I love these mules - they would go great with everything from jeans to sun dresses.
I love dainty jewelry - it's so fun to wear one piece at a time or layer a few pieces for a new look. It's also the perfect spring trend; it's lightweight and won't weigh you down as nice spring weather turns to summer heat.
